About Us
Chris Conway, MA, CAS Owner / Executive Director
Chris is owner of Solace Counseling and facilitates Advanced Counseling, DUI, Anger Management, and Private Individualized Therapy. He is a Master's level Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) and has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts in Psychology from Regis University. Chris mainly uses solution-focused therapy and is versed and skilled in recognizing human behaviors and effectively addressing them for a successful and insightful outcome. He has been in the substance abuse field for 23 years. In his off time, Chris enjoys playing golf, traveling, sports, and spending time with his friends and family.
Niki Worthan, MA, LAC Clinical Director / Director of Operations
Niki has been in the mental health and substance abuse field for 15 years. She is a Master's level, state Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and a Colorado Victim Advocate. She completed her Master's Degree in Psychology at Regis University and two years Post-Masters education in Clinical Counseling. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Human Services/Mental Health Counseling from MSU Denver. Niki facilitates Cognitive Restructuring groups, Substance Abuse and Relapse Prevention groups, DUI groups, and specializes in intensive individual counseling and victim and trauma counseling. Niki brings humor, and a compassionate and informative style which our clients find uplifting and helpful in assisting them to reach their potentials.
Jaime Barth, BA, CAT Clinical Counselor / Front Office Manager
Jaime, a brilliant addition to our staff, completed Bachelor's degree in Psychology at University of Northern Colorado. She is currently pursuing her Master's in Clinical Counseling. She is a Colorado Registered Psychotherapist and working toward her Certified Addiction Specialist credential. Jaime incorporates a compassionate and empathic style in therapy and adds fun and humor, which our clients find comforting. She is energetic as our front Office Manager and efficient in meeting our clients' needs with a positive attitude. In her leisure time, she enjoys fishing, photography, hockey, the outdoors, and spending time with her family.
Jennifer Alm, BS, CAS Clinical Counselor
Jennifer is a counselor with Solace since 2017.She is a Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) and is in recovery herself. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Human Services/Mental Health Counseling at MSU Denver, and is currently working toward her Master's degree in Behavioral Health Counseling. Jennifer chose this field because substance abuse and mental health disorders have been prevalent in her family. This gives her the empathic insight to to want to help others through their personal struggles. Jennifer has an innate ability to see the growth in others when they struggle to see it in themselves. Jennifer works with clients on an individual basis.
Ashli Mickelson, CIT Counselor-in-Training/ Admin Support
Ashli has been helping clients at Solace since 2020. She is a currently pursuing her degree in Human Services, is a Counselor-In-Training and is working on her CAT. In addition she works in Employer Account Management in the Healthcare industry. She brings a friendly and knowledgeable style to our agency, and client's find her "easy to open up to." Ashli excels at client interaction, business, and accounting skills, and therapeutic support at Solace Counseling. In her free-time, she enjoys being a Mom to her teenage daughter, playing competitive league pool, physical fitness and working out, and spending time with her friends and family.
Becca Taylor, BS, CAT Certified Counselor / Life Coach
Becca is our newest addition to Solace. She is a Certified Addiction Technician and Life Coach at Solace Counseling Services. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Accounting from Colorado State University and is in the process of completing her Master’s in Clinical Psychology. Becca is currently completing the required training and credentialing for her CAS. Becca uses a strength-based approach to identify and tackle personal barriers, and works to help clients better align with themselves to build a “toolbox” that promotes their success in overcoming challenges. She has been in the mental health field for over two years.
